If you can't tell, I've got nursery decor on my mind.  We have our first little nugget arriving mid-February and I am officially obsessed with a black and gold nursery with a touch of color.  See my other trendy chic nursery board here.  I can't decide which way to go!  We're having a girl and there are so many cute things out there-please, people stop with all the cute things I can't take it!

This is the plan for our little girl's nursery arriving sometime mid-Feb!  Of course, I have bought the absolute necessities first...the Johnathan Adler Happy Chic Lamp.  No crib yet....but I do have a lamp. 

I don't know who the cute girl is, but she looked like she belonged in the room and I love her trendy little outfit!  I wanted a space that was modern and she could grow into.  I also didn't want it to be overwhelming baby pink, my thought was I could get my husband to change a few more diapers.  

If you are looking for an affordable dresser idea, the Expedite bookshelf (link above) by Ikea turned on the side has drawers that fit right into the open space and it's all about $150-steal!  The knobs from Anthropology might cost more than the bookshelf...so keeping an eye out for something similar!

I have a super fun guest styling today!  Please welcome Shannen Bishop, Camelot Fabric's Design Director!  I have been working with Shannen and her team at Camelot fabrics for about a year now and we are so excited to wrap up the details for my first fabric line!  Shannen has been amazing to get to know and she has such an eye for stylish and chic looks.  Check out what she does at Camelot and a little about her picks!
I love coming to work every day! Everyone on my in-house design team does their part to make sure projects run smoothly as well as creating a fun environment to work in. Not only do I have a great team, but I get to do what I love every day, which is creating new designs, tackling new projects & venturing into new territories in the fabric industry. I also get to work with talented international artists, such as Laura Dro, whom I consider to be an extension of our ‘Design Family’ here at Camelot Fabrics!

Laura Dro’s Floral Watercolor Illustration instantly made me think of sitting poolside in the height of summertime; warm yet refreshed! I love her use of light & vibrant hues of citrus yellow, juicy orange, hot coral, fresh mint & cool navy. The colors and watercolor texture evoke light & create a sense of coolness in the hot summer air; it would make any living space feel more open & bright!  1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10

Hello everyone!  Happy Monday!

I have several great posts lined up with some of the best and most super stylish girls on the block!  Every Monday, I'll have a new piece of art and a new friend to pick out their favorite things inspired by the colors.  For my first go at this, the super sweet and talented designer, Sam Penner of The Peak of Tres Chic, picked out her favorites based on the print "Flamingo Flowers".  Here is a little more about what inspired Sam!

Hi there!

So here is my attempt to do a fun little vignette for you with one of my new paintings.  What do you think?  I love mixing modern pieces with traditional ones.  This is kinda the vibe of my house now, which I am so close to photographing and sharing.  But, most importantly, I am super excited to slowly start showing you my new artwork!  I have spent months honing in on what I want to go forward with.  I am trying to evoke a breezy, fresh style that feels eclectic and dreamy in all my prints, patterns and paintings.  I give most of my sneak peaks on Instagram, so follow me there to see more of my new artwork!

Hattan Home - My favorite things!

I had an amazing weekend surprise!  I met this lovely lady, Lindsay, of Hattan Home.  We exchanged a few emails and before I knew it, my artwork was in her shop.  Yes, all these adorable things can be found at Hattan Home.  I know, I know, what to get?  Among all these lovely necessities are Rifle products, Kate Spade Book, adorable Poufs, and now my prints!  It makes me giddy to see my work alongside my favorite products.  She's doing a sale for Mothers day so go get Mom something cute!  Lindsay was so easy to chat with and I felt like I knew her after one email-love when that happens.  If you want to know where the newest, cutest store online is go here...and check out my artwork as well!  Leave a comment about what you think!
